How did they come up with pet snakes?
How did they come up with pet snakes? They are fun to play with but back in the old days people wouldn’t want a snake unless it was for soup. So how did they come up with pet snakes?

i guess some people are very fond of them and like watching them slither around and stick their tongue out constantly!

Pet snakes probably were first used as protection to ward off intruders. And they lived with the people that owned them so they probably played a second role as pets. I am not sure if they are as loyal as dogs though!
